2022 Royal Enfield Himilayan
Yes I've had 2 Himalayan's---the first one ---a 2019 is further down the page.
5-27-24 Original tire on right----Tusk Waypoint on left.
Not as road oreinted as the original---but that's fine. This is a new tire to the market.

My Good buddy Roger Hayes gave me some "Tire Slick 'em"
BelRay waterproof grease below----if you goto into a bike shop and they don't use this stuff or
better yet have it for sale-------run away.

The original Baja No Pinch tire tool-------bought it so many years ago that I don't remember when ???
The thing about these is----when your done---Your tube ain't pinched !!!!

Today I extended the foot of my Baja No Pinch tire tool about 1".
Why---the original is about 1" too short and I've cussed this tool a jillion times as it was a
pain in the ass to use or impossible--------on 21" tires.

2019 Royal Enfield Himilayan

411CC air cooled 4stroke 5 speed-----fuel injected and ABS brakes.
Bought new from Flying Tiger in St. Louis, Missouri
I love those bars on the side of the gas tank--going to get some soft bags that attatch to them.
A Whopping 24.5 horsepower--------24.5 more than my blown up 690 and 950.

So now that I've purchased the most serious adventure bike on the planet (smiley face).
Google you tube----then "itchy boots" you'll get my drift.
Where's this bad boy going to take me ????

Added windshield extension-------------can't remember where I got it----Amazon I suppose.

Installing Oxford heaed grips----the throttle side had a lot of things that needed trimmed off --------I used a razor knife.

GPs mount will hold my Garmin Montana or 276CSX
The red wire you see st the bottom of the picture will power my heated vest----and I'll also use it
to recharge things on the road and recharge the battery if need be. It's hot all the time.

Some things you don't always get with a bike-------a skid plate and center stand.
Also came with a kick stand. Several of my KTM's came with one-----broke off first ride------EXC's.

Oil cooler---newer Himialayan's come with a guard on them.

Almost all bikes come with the forks on upside down and you have to flip them.
Royal Enfield does this at the factory.

Ordered these bad boys 3 days ago and here they are.
About $120--------100% waterproof with a roll top closure---I love these things.
They were made to mount on the front racks------perfect fit and 20 second install and I didn't
even read the directions.

Really neat little zippered side pocket for quick access stuff------not waterproof.

Nice---might protect my legs a bit--------I'll sacrifice a bag for that.

Saddle bag racks on the way---I got the factory ones------didn't like other brands. $120.
I can put whatever bags I want on them. I have Mosko Moto's BC 35's laying around---but kind of
wanting something smaller ????? Tusk has some really neat new stuff.

Well............it appears I'm done with accessorizing my Himilayan.
After getting home from my all winter ride down south along the Mexican border, when I got home
my panniers racks (Himalayan specific) came in from India. In this pic I've attached my Wolfman
expeditions to them---but can put my Rocky Mountains on if I like.
Also added Cycra pro-bend handguards.
Finally realized the 18" in tube I've been packing around in the tank panniers won't fit this bike.
So got a 17" to replace it---sure glad I didn't have a flat.
Ordered some Tusk adventure tires for it------will put them on when need be.

But...................New tires were in order.
Let's try these new untested Tusk adventure tires.
Old stock tire in top------my buddy Road Dad will chastise me thoroughly for not using these
till you could see the air in the tire.

First thing----put the tube in the tire...........poke the valve stem thru the rim and barely start the nut.
Now finish puttin the tire on---------I use my Baja No Pinch tire thingy-------can't pinch a tube with this thing.

Since all my buddy's are quarantined (covid-19).
I had to use the only other buddy I have---motion pro tire buddy.

Well.................I do have one more buddy.............had to get her to run out and help a bit.
If the pineapple upside down cake gets burnt............guess who's fault that is !!!!!

This is a 130 size tire-------the original was a 120.
I don't normally go bigger----A 120 size wasn't available for this tire from my tire place.
We'll see how this bad boy works out.
The height was the same as my old tire so this shouldn't upset things.

Now-a-days you either don't get a toolkit with a bike------or it's useless.
Well this toolkit will get you wheels off and pull your sparkplug---------and other stuff.

Well--------I just thought I was thru fiddling with it.
I added the adventure double take mirrors. The right thread is left handed so just order what
you'd need for a Yamaha WR250R and your all set. Not cheap-----over $100

So what happened to the Wolfman tail bag I had on here ???
I had this Pelican case on the back of my Honda CB500X for a few months.
But when I tried to put the caribou cases on the side racks------- the Pelican was in the way and I had to order
one of a different size------------so the one I took off of my Honda looked like a good fit on my Himilayan.
This is the 2300 storm case. Seems good to me. I just bolted it on as I have no reason to take it off ever.
I can drop my saddlebags for day rides if I want.

OK----one more modification----just one more-----------I promise.
Stock Seat

Seat Concepts Seat---this was a kit with foam and a cover, not the whole seat.

The stock seat was OK for my butt----but this is better.
What I was shooting for and got it was a higher seat---this is their high one.
This made it easier to stand as it lessened the distance between the footpegs and top of the seat.
Little things like this can make a big difference while riding all day.
